It’s officially been 1 week since I’ve been back home in Indiana, and 1 week since I said “see you later” to our little family of 11 that I’ve spent the past 3 months doing life with! I’ve spent this past week reuniting with family and friends, and processing the past few months and looking forward into how it will affect my future plans. While I might not have all the answers now on what that looks like, I’d like to think that I’ve got a decent start😅
As I think about the past 3 months of my life, I’ve definitely learned a lot and made MANY mistakes along the way! Here are just a few things the Lord has taught me over the past few months…
- Be quick to listen and SLOW to speak! (James 1:19) While our voices and opinions are highly valued and important to be heard, sometimes the best way you can serve someone else is just being a listening ear!
- In a world where we are told to take care of ourselves by OURSELVES and to prioritize “self care.” Lift your eyes to see how you can serve your neighbor, it doesn’t always have to be about you!
- When you’re spreading the Joy of the Lord to others, don’t forget to encourage yourself too! The Lord delights in YOU just as he does with all of his children!
